"Go West young man" was the outcry. In 1979 I did and quickly realized I missed my local neighborhood pizzeria the most. Growing up in Brooklyn and Queens, the local pizzeria was our happy place, so changing careers and purchasing Village Pizzeria on Clement St. in San Francisco in 1994 was my way to "get happy."
"Go South young man" was next. In 1997, we moved south and built Village Pizzeria on Larchmont; our Yucca Street location opened in 2007.
